Home/Services/Timber Repairs

Rotten timber doesn’t always mean replacement.

Our carpenters repair rotten windows, doors and frames — restoring original joinery for a fraction of the cost of ripping it out.

Repair first, replace last

Replacement windows are expensive, disruptive, and on older buildings they rarely look right. In many cases rot is localised — a sill, a lower rail, a section of frame — and the rest of the timber is sound. Our carpenters cut out the decayed timber, splice in new, treat and fill, and leave the joinery ready for decoration.

We use resin repair systems, which bond to the surrounding timber and hold their shape through the seasons — a permanent repair rather than a filler that cracks out.

Any kind of rotten timber

Sash and casement windows, entrance and communal doors, door frames, fascias, sills, and external joinery of all kinds. If it’s timber and it’s rotten, we can usually save it.

The natural partner to redecoration

Rot usually announces itself when the decorators arrive. Because our carpenters and decorators are one team, repairs are done as part of the same programme — no second contractor, no delay, and the paint goes on over sound timber.

For managed buildings

For blocks with original timber windows and communal doors, planned repair programmes protect the building’s character and spread cost sensibly — and we can survey the joinery across a whole development and report on what needs attention now versus later.
